Bank holiday

Post by WOBBLY »

Has anyone actually had payment for your RDO landing on a BH instead of the lieu day?

The policy of a day off in the same week OR you get the choice of payment or a lieu day hasn’t changed has it?

Think a day in lieu seems to be the preferred method currently

We got told no payment option was available for the 2 Easter bank holidays. Everybody had to take a day in lieu. Reason given was the financial situation of the company.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

My manager directed me to page 31 of appendix A of the time off work procedure that can be found on the people app.
Has this now superseded the above or are they chatting crap again?

Easist thing to do is sign the ExcessDuty sheet next to your name and select the tick box ☑️ for money, or select the tick box ☑️ for day off in lieu.
