The current pay for all COMs

Post by POSTMAN »

Got this from a CMA dude...

The current pay for all COMs works on Min £40,000 a midpoint of £44,000 and a maximum of £47,000. Whilst all COMs start on the minimum point of £40,000 there is also another factor that early shift payments do not apply, defined area supplement does not apply although there is an allowance for London only.

In the page ranges below there no longer is an assistant DOM allowance or DOM allowance and there is no longer any managerial grading of 4, 3, 2, 1 or senior bands.

All DOMs previously would have either DOM 4 payment plus DOM 4 suppliment of £2,263 plus early allowance and defined area if applicable.

The higher grades would have the DM pay scale plus the relevent DOM allowance plus defined area if applicable.

DLM’s would have previously £37,572 plus the assistant allowance £1,754 plus shift and defined area if applicable.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Unbelievable, I think I can safely say that if our comdom could get another job elsewhere on that pay then I'd give him my arse,my house,my wife and my kids.

What do they do to get that sort of pay apart from going around winding people up

I love the Fresh Young DOMs that turn up all full of beans thinking they're going to set the world on Fire. :dance Only to discover they've got an Office full of Stroppy Old Posties who know more about the Job than they do, and exactly what the DOM can, and can't, ask them to do. Not accepting his BS and make beleave stories he gets out of his "Managers Little Book of Lies" ;liar

Then they just have to settle into the extended Trench Warfare of the Delivery Office. Getting shat on by their Boss who gives them no support and just keeps firing orders at him during the morning conference calls to "Make sure you clear the office AND get your lapsing done"!

He finally gives up any notion of trying to do his job properly, and resorts to lying to his Boss telling him everythings great and sneaking off home as early as he can! :cuppa
Like all Wage Slaves, he had two crosses to bear: The people he worked for and the people he worked with! (Stephen Vizinczey.)

Only in Royal Mail would the current clown we have for a CON, be on as much as £40,000.
No wonder this company is such a mess.

“If they’re bills I don’t want ‘em!”

“What’s she been ordering now?”

It's not just the pay, it's the amount of them that they employ.

Is there a quota to work out how many an office should have? Each morning we can have between 2-4 of them. Either the office can cope fine on just 2, or it's under managed. Which? :cuppa

Few more years and waaay more management “work” will be handled by the PDAs in the form of automatic and directly issued instructions, flowcharts, and drop boxes for us all to have fun with.

Unbelievable! It sounds like everywhere is the same as ours a complete Buffon who has no idea how to speak to people and lies so much he doesn’t even know what the truth is, new recruits are leaving all around him people are taking early retirement and people cutting off its falling apart and yet they pay him 40 k you couldn’t make it up
