37H Christmas Contract for Part Timers

As a part timer each year we are "upgraded" to a 37h contract to meet demand. Is this compulsory or a personal choice?

Personal choice, I have refused for the last few years with no issues.
Royal Mail
failing the workforce, failing the public and deliberately failing mail on a daily basis for too many years.
