One of the businesses on my round got this Smart Parcel box.
He said RM recommended it as it would save him having to keep coming down to sign for deliveries. They said we can scan the barcode on the Smart Parcel box instead.
Trouble is, how do we do that on our PDAs. I can’t see any way to get the PDA to scan it.
Do any of you know how please?
Cheers

Re: Anyone had to deliver to a Smart Parcel box?
Sorry tried to add photos of the parcel box but they’ve not uploaded.
It’s called Smart Parcel box and there’s a note on it which says “Courier please scan the last 4 digits of barcode for POD” followed by a barcode.
Mystery to me!!

Asked about this ages ago (Dom asked higher up). It's meaningless to us, it's a perfect safeplace but it doesn't override the request for a signature from the customer (who sent the item).
Slip them and go.
