Contract increase where do I stand
Hello all quick one really ; currently on a 20 hour contract but there are jobs up on the website for our depot for 30 hours which I would like to be increased to , I beleive interviews are already underway . Don’t have a dom in our office to mention it to have told a line manager and they said they will ask about it but this was a couple of weeks ago and still heard nothing more , main worry is that all the 30 hour contracts will go if it’s left too long . Is there not some sort of procedure for existing members of staff in situations like this ? Thanks

You or anyone else on less hours (seniority gets first choice) should have first option to increase hours before they bring anyone else in from outside.
As far as I know you just tell them you want it and they have to give it to you.

I'd contact HR straight away and explain it to them asap.Graham21 wrote: ↑04 Jul 2022, 16:01Hello all quick one really ; currently on a 20 hour contract but there are jobs up on the website for our depot for 30 hours which I would like to be increased to , I beleive interviews are already underway .
