Where is our uniform ?

Our delivery office have postmen and women in their own shorts or trousers . Own shirts and jackets and it looks so unprofessional.
Also the bags we are using are broken, got holes in them plus not enough to go round and the DOM says he can't get any
The equipment ie trolleys are falling apart as well
IM NOT GOING TO MENTION VANS

Have you ordered your new uniform? Regardless of this, up until the issue of the new uniform you have been able to order the old style uniform on the people app.
Do the other postie's not have uniform or just choose not to wear it?

Lol, I dare not mention the state of disrepair in our building on these boards. Shocking, truelly shocking.

Not enough PDAs, no redirection bags, damage bags, elastic bands, dockets, kill off stickers.

Screen wash and oil, tyre guages, ACTUAL VANS.

Staff.

The list goes on.

Uniform is the least of our worries with this lot of grifters and cowboys who run Royal Mail.

Our new starters have got theirs, some newer staff have replacement uniform. Senior staff can't get any. Perhaps it's the company giving us a hint

Had you already used up your allocation? The authorising of uniform is done by either a regional or nation manager. No manager in any RDC, MC or DO has any say in the matter. Unless it's a safety issue any orders over your allocation will always be amended down to your allocation or cancelled

All my office has had ours but we were among the first to order, Its looking pretty decent but the shoes are still a bit rubbish and cheap.

I think that is incorrect,you must have not asked the right member of staff with ordering access /manager in your MC to get it ordered.

All unit managers or COMs can authorise uniform over allocation.

Regional or national managers are not going to sift through uniform requests to decide if some bod in a DO should get a new pair of trousers.

That's a laughable idea.

We were told they are no longer making the bags.

I know they now have inserts so you only need one bag, but I've seen less of them than bags and when they are filled it isn't easy getting them into the bag.

I normally go out with one bag (If I can find one) and the rest in trays. If only staff didn't hoard excess bags in their vans.

The majority of uniform isnt even available to pick on the people app

You can even order over allocation yourself on the people app. You just need to put the reason why you are ordering early. Done it myself a few weeks ago and the order was approved within 48 hours.
