Made 2 misdeliveries this week
Both on tracked parcels
one of them was also a redelivery. I got told about the first one today and I know where I did it but the person didn’t answer. Today the woman said she was waiting on a redelivery and I think I know where I did it but I didn’t have time to go and sort it out. I feel bad about it but I was feeling stressed out and I needed to get home. Will I likely get myself into trouble?

There will probably be some fallout and it will depend on what kind of manager you have how far it will go.

i would have however taken 5/10 minutes to try rectify an error if i knew where it was, even if not in, a simple card explaining you may have misdelivered there and will try again next working day to retrieve, trust me, if you'd have rectified it today, you'd be feeling less stressed over the remaining weekend

Re: Made 2 misdeliveries this week
And How Many Hundreds of pieces of Mail did you deliver correctly? Lots I bet.
Used to have an Old colleague that put it this way:
"I've got 500 houses on my duty .... if each house gets 3 pieces of mail ... that's 1500 letters ... If I mis-deliver 10 pieces of mail every day thats only .67%! ...... If you asked any other business if they'd be willing to accept a 99.3% level of accuracy ... they'd snap your hand off.''
So basically don't get stressed about it, we all make mistakes. At least if they're tracked they can check the GPS location and tell you where you did deliver them! Done it myself, knock on the door Monday and ask them if they've still got it.

Re: Made 2 misdeliveries this week
It all depends on the person having the delivery... Most just accept it as human error and sort it out themselves... I've been on a round before and found a tracked from whoever did it the day prior, taped to the outside of the box with a note explaining that it was for ***** close, and this was ***** green. Knocked at the green and explained the error, nothing ever came of it.
Another time I scanned one as "inaccessible" due to construction vehicles blocking the country lane the house is on, and the manager was on the phone within 15 minutes as the customer had called and complained. Luckily I had photos!
