A question regarding rehabs.

Hi, Im currently under a rehab with the support of Ohs and my doctor, I've asked my manager for a weekly review to discuss how I am getting on and to see if any further assistance is required. However my manager has failed to do a review since I started my rehab 2 weeks ago. So my question is this, is it my managers responsibility to do a weekly review? And does it form part of the attendance guidelines? Cheers.

From the lack of replies, I'm guessing not many people have had the weekly reviews.

I was on light duties for a week and just got asked every day how I was, but only as a passing comment as they never listen to my reply. They honestly don't care one bit. I should have been off resting but they would have sent someone to pick me up if I couldn't walk and just a week later I'm back doing a full duty. At this rate, I'll be off on sick for a lot longer than would have been necessary if they just let me heal.

Most Posties seem to complain about Managers constantly badgering them about their progress, no doubt worried about how soon they can get them back out on deliveries.

If your's is leaving you alone I'd take that as a bonus. I assume you've got some target date at which your Rehab will end and you could be expected to return to work? I know your Manager should discuss a Return to Work plan (which normally cover perhaps doing a partial delivery for a week or so until your fully up to speed) TBH most Managers haven't got a clue. They think they're all qualified doctors but they're not.

When your Rehabs coming to an end I'd be more concerned about knowing what you Manager plans, and perhaps pop in to discuss things, but until then I'd enjoy the peace.
