Cycle to work scheme?

Post by Lkemp »

Hi all, first post here so apologies if in wrong thread etc.

For the bike to work scheme, can I buy the bike from any supplier who does the scheme? Or does it have to be Halfords? As when you apply it seems like it’s Halfords or bust.

Not used the scheme for a few years but unless it's changed then yes Halfords are your only option. To be fair Halfords can order almost any brand of bike for you but you might not get as good a deal as your local bike shop.

Big thread about it here viewtopic.php?f=1&t=27480

It doesn’t have to be Halfords I’ve just used the scheme and used cycles uk you have to pay a 5% fee for them to transfer voucher over but the shop did that for me, plus you can get a better make bike than the rubbish offered in Halfords

Re the 1k limit; I've not used the RM scheme, but did one through a previous employer and just paid the extra bit myself
