PDA's slowing down?

So a few of us in my depot have had this now: the PDA gets progressively slower with each delivery, after about 10 it gets unusable (press button to wake, swipe up and it takes 20-60 seconds to open. Then longer to register the scan, despite the beep and light happening as they should.)
We are having to restart them at least once a round (not all of them though.)
Some days they won't let us log in, and when we finally do the screen has a red border and a message that says "The Red X File is corrupted. Please restart and contact your IT support." These ones run really slow.
Managers seem clueless, though for the first few days (before it had been widely discussed) they tried to blame individual postie's for doing something to them. Now they know you can still get the tracked scanned on a slow PDA, it no longer seems to be a problem to them. Just those of us for whom those extra minutes are actually important!

Anyone else getting this?

Yes, plus the one when you scan the bar code in, and then it just freezes, and you can't do anything with it.

What about when you scan the code and it accepts as delivered before you even have time to press the screen. That's the only thing it seems fast at. Too fast in fact!

Every day when handed your PDA, straight away reboot it. Then at least you know it's starting in the best possible state.

I suspect they only get rebooted if there is a problem. I bet they don't even get rebooted after a system update!

I always have the battery in & out before switching on.

I reboot my PDA every day and never suffer any slowing down problems, I get the odd freeze during the day but a quick screen off and on usually solves that problem.

the one I use has a plastic screen covering on it, for me it works better with it removed, more responsive, useless in the rain though, trying to swipe the wet screen is painful

RM need to separate some stuff into completely separate apps.

Take a picture and the spinner on the screen spins and spins until they close the door , then you cancel it and take a pic of your feet instead!
