Overtime pay

I have recently started with Royal Mail doing Sundays only. Please could anyone confirm how the overtime and pay works.

I was told I get paid the same week for normal hours and then the following week for any overtime.

Is there a cut off time for overtime being recorded?

Still not received my contract.

that's correct, overtime is inputted daily and saturday's on monday which should also be paid at the same time

Make sure you get Sunday rate.

Thank you both. I have just checked this week's payslip on the People App. I haven't been paid the Sunday supplement so will have to chase them up tomorrow. It should be £5.83 extra an hour.

I did my online training last week at home and then was in the delivery office for an induction day. My first proper shift was on Sunday.

Would I be paid on the Friday for the shift on Sunday before I have actually worked it? I got paid last week for 8 hours but don't know if this related to the online training or the Sunday shift.

This week I have received 8 hours basic pay, overtime for the hours worked on my induction day and delivery supplement.

O/t is always paid the week after and a lot of the time if you do O/t on a Sat and log it on the Monday it will then go onto the following weeks pay. Sunday Pay should be included in in real time like standard hours so any week you are contracted to a Sunday you will be paid it on the Friday two days before like standard hours.

Regarding the Sunday rate, in your payslip if you are P/t(assuming like all new starters) your 5hr12 shift will be included in the standard 26hrs payment then underneath will read Sunday Supplement and this will be an amount of £5.83 x 5hr12, you will get that every week if contracted to work every Sunday. If you are one in two or one in three/four you will get a payment every week but it will be half/third/quarter each week depending what you are scheduled for, any time past 5hr 12 or when volunteering you will get a different rate which is circa £14.05 so bare that in mind. To finish if you don't receive the payment by the time of your next Sunday flag it to your line manager or Dom who will internally chase it up and once sorted you will also get backdated what is owed.
