Good smartwatch which doesn't get trigger by stormproof sleeve?

Post by cheerful »

I've tried a Mi Band fitness tracker, but the sleeve on the stormproof jacket would keep registering as touches.

Has anyone got a smart watch which doesn't freak out while wearing the jacket (and is rain proof)?

I'm mainly after something that monitors heart health / SpO2. The Withins ScanWatch doesn't use a touchscreen, so would probably work, but that looks like it's one of the least smart smartwatches around.

I use Apple Watch SE. It’s been perfect for the job in all weathers. Especially being able to answer phone calls on it and read text messages without getting ur phone out 👍🏻 It also counts ur steps and monitors ur heart :)

You must have good eyesight to read a text on a watch, just use mine to tell the time

Android/WearOS does the same should the OP own an Android rather than Apple device. I've never had any misreads on my own smart watch

I have an Apple Watch and it only thinks the jacket is a finger touch if I'm wearing the light red jacket and it's wet, and so if I'm wearing it under a wet jacket I turn on the water lock on the watch which stops that from happening. Not had any issues like that with the thicker storm jacket.

Just had a read on Which about Sp02 they seem to think that its hard to measure with a wearable some have problems with skin tones, and all the manufactures list it as recreational use only.
