Re: Boxing Day
I can't help with a definitive answer, but last year I delivered Covid Kits on boxing day so it might be the same this year? Would like to know myself.

Re: Boxing Day
It's probably going to be classed as a normal day for anyone who'd normally work on a Sunday as the actual Bank holidays are on the Monday (Xmas Christmas Day) and Tuesday (Boxing Day)

Re: Boxing Day
Boxing Day is Boxing Day
Christmas Day is Christmas Day.
Wether it’s a Saturday or a Sunday or a sky blue pink shaterday. I won’t be working whatever anyone says. Everyday is a shaterday these days. What a crap job this has become. (Just saying).

Re: Boxing Day
When Christmas/ Boxing Day has fallen on a Saturday or Sunday previously, there has been no requirement to work or any claw back.

Agreed test kits are a thing..
But let the gaffers And the docket barons do ‘em.
I’ll be happy to sit at home with a mince pie and a cracker.

Thank you.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Boxing Day
That would be my view. If you are contacted to work that Sunday, they aren't gonna give you it off if there's covid kits to deliver are they? What, and pay someone who's not contracted to work it extra to do them? This is royal mail we're talking about though.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑15 Nov 2021, 15:52Don't think that'll be 100% true this year, with Covid test kits
