Finishing time?

New starter here been in a few weeks. When you have a finishing time, Should I stop my round at that time or should I be back at the office and signing out by that time?

Signing out at that time and make sure you have taken your full break allowance

Shocking that a new starter has to ask this question here.
Does his/her Manager not advise proper procedure!

Personally i aim to arrive at office 10mins before finishing time so i can put parcels away, put PDA away and wash hands before leave office at my finish time.

Make sure you take your break aswell.

At the moment I am to get back about 30 mins before my finish time.

Gives me time to put a third of a frame's worth of mail back in that I haven't had time to do.

Asking for trouble, manager could say willfull delay , you have 10mins at end of duty to pouch off,sign out etc, leave undelivered mail to prep till next day, its the next days work, he could say "you could have spent the 20mins doing more delivery "

We finish on a 20 min meal relief, yes it's ok to do that , so our finish time is 3pm, get back to office no later than 2.30pm

That sounds ok , but you're not taking a 20 meal relief at end, your working it by prepping the undelivered mail, so by rights your working 20 mins either for free, or you should add on 20mins ot for prepping that mail, (manager wouldn't like that)either way check with your rep
