Royal Mail and Amazon

Now Royal Mail are delivering more and more Amazon parcels, anyone noticed the amount of parcels that won’t fit through letter boxes?
Have to knock and wait for householder to answer the door. More time wasted. No answer, leave a docket, take the parcel away. Had lots of items on Friday had to bring back. That’s another one to the “what annoys you the most” thread

amazon or whoever sent it, its just a parcel like any other we do, though they probably use mates rates to deliver theirs

Had a strange one over the Summer with Amazon Parcels. They were offering a Free Delivery to Local Collect scheme as a new way to take over the world.

As the Post Office I deliver to is in a Tourist Hot Spot they had loads of Free Local Collect Parcels delivered throughout the Summer, piling up in the corner. Many were still there weeks later! The staff figured out that Tourists were ordering stuff to pick up when they were on holiday and then not bothering to collect it!

Not so surprising when you watched the TV showing how much crap these people leave behind, like tents, patio sets & BBQs. Some people have got more money than sense. In the end we just brought back a van full of Amazon Parcels and RTS'd them back to Amazon.

We should be given time to take it to a neighbour, but we are not, and managers are often in denial that it is actually official policy to take it to a neighbour

It’s true Amazon can’t cope without RM
I’m on foot was standing at someone’s door writing out notice left for a parcel bigger than a shoe box and a big Amazon van pulled up driver got out and put a small flat packet through next door and drove off!!! Typical!

also see 2 amazon vans on same the street sometimes, guessing it's just how they are processed through their system,
not long back i had 2 "very" packets, 1of3 & 3of3 on printed on them,
another with same packaging door-stepped by another courrier said 2of3 on it
