It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

None will leave. They would never get a managerial job currently paying the salaries RM pay.
None will leave because they wouldn't get a managerial job anywhere else. I've spoken to my new managers a few times about what goes on in royal fail and how OPG's are treated and they just look back at me open mouthed with shock written all over their faces.
Simon should be giving them a pay cut not a cost of living pay rise, they are fuc£ing useless and incompetent and always will be.

Not to mention all the early finishes a lot of them get...
How about a decent pay rise for all the posties and mail centre staff, a rise that will at least offset soaring prices of energy and everything else that are now inevitable. To add to the injury from April we will have to chip in an extra 1.25% as NIc goes up too, not too mention frozen personal allowances for next couple of years.
The DOs would probably run a lot better if a lot of the managers leave, I know our area runs a lot smoother when our line manager isn't there. Most of them aren't worth what they're paid at the moment.
They take the profits, you take the blame
When they tell you there's no rise in pay
