Re: comeing back to royal mail
Do you really want the crap of coming back?
There are other jobs out there if you look hard enough.
As for actually coming back you could only try, go through the motions online ect.
There 'may' be a problem with your national insurance number online, we have heard of it before when peeps try to re-apply, you may get lucky, just try.
EDIT : See here for details if you have a NI number problem...

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

You and me both. I don’t think I can handle another Christmas. Even the last few weeks our packets have been through the roof some days - and this is usually our lightest time of year. What the hell is it gonna be like in November/December!?!?Jahpostie wrote: ↑24 Aug 2021, 14:57You must be a sadist. The job is done and getting worse. Re: comeing back to royal mail
I came back about 2.5 years ago after 5 year break.
Was trying to get back in for approx a year with no joy at all. Applying for every job they advertised in the area.
Ironicaly, as soon as 5 years mark passed i got accepted straightaway. Same city but different DO than originally. Was wondering if there is no 5 year moratorium or something.
Good luck anyway

Applicationsgo straight to a central hr team, local management have zero input on who makes it interview. They can make you ineligible to recruit when putting in your resignation ecr which means you'll always be rejected. If you were on good enough terms with the dom contact them, maybe they have vacancies they haven't advertised, maybe they could ask hr to assist in speeding things up to get you back

Maybe ring HR and see if they can give you an answer as to why you are not getting anywhere and you feel as if you've been blacklisted.newpostyco13 wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 17:21****update******

Worth a try for nothing.

Re: comeing back to royal mail
Maybe try getting back via a job agency? Despite what they say RM will need extra people over Christmas. You might not get your old office but it should not be too hard to impress management compared to the normal agency workers. From there get a manager to recommend you.newpostyco13 wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 17:21****update******

How long ago did you leave RM? There might be a block on anyone re-joining RM within a certain amount of time of leaving RM
