Firm not open until 10am

Firm complaining no mail being delivered , not open to 10am or after , no letter box etc .
Endorsed no access.
They complained , manager says double back and deliver as PDA actuals say you have time .
Any thoughts

Just deliver it after 10am? If you know about it, you should be planning around it, if you don't and it's a one off occurrence, that's different. I had the exact same issue with a couple of firms on a firm's walk I did that didn't open till 10am, one had no staff in, another a large locked gate, so I just do that entire part of the walk later in the day to make sure it's delivered.

Don't be too stroppy about it, there are hundreds of walks where businesses are not open when you get there with no letter box.
You can't 'endorse no access' for that reason.

Why cant you do no access if they have no letterbox and they arent open, Thats the very definition of no access ( to delivery point)

I've noticed that loads of companies have put their opening times back post lockdown.

Royal Mail have done the same with the callers office to be fair.

Used covid as an excuse to stay closed for longer. It's a fairly strange trend. You'd think companies would be eager to get back to normal, yet half of them seem more eager to just shut up shop for good.

Pal of mine had similar problem of no delivery box at a building site, during the argument that ensued with the site manager over no mail being delivered, my mate said "would you expect your builders to build one of your houses without bricks"
"No" was the answer.
Followed with my mate telling him "Well then dont expect me to do my job without the correct equipment, besides if your workers can build a house I am sure they can knock up a post box to put on your gate. Ta ta."

Yeah, it's really not that complicated. It's sometimes hard to tell if people are genuinely that dense, or if it's some sort of obtuse entitlement issue, where they just expect everybody to jump through hoops for them.

If you want your mail delivered. Get a Mailbox. That's the solution to your problem.

Doesn't help that the manager in question told the postie to go back and deliver it.
How about some back up for once, and tell the customer he won't get any mail until he puts a delivery point in place.

I’ve not done too bad with business access but it annoys me those who lock the gates or reception and put a sign on saying to ring this number. I’ll do most things to help customers but I won’t use my phone to ring businesses, not going to happen. I’ve tried to ring using the PDA but never have much luck.
