New Uniform Allocation
I see that the new uniforms are able to be ordered - well the first few areas anyway.
What happens if you have no allocation left, do you need to wait until you do or do they zero them all so you can order the new style now rather than wait months / years?
Thanks

Re: New Uniform Allocation
The new uniform allocation is seperate to the old uniform allocation. You also need to order the full allocation of new uniform for the order to go through.

Re: New Uniform Allocation
I’m due some new trousers/shorts next month. Wasn’t sure what date I could order so though I would check. Now it says I can’t have any till 2023, what’s all that about?

Re: New Uniform Allocation
I should have allocation though, checked a couple of months back and it said next available some date at the end of May 2021. Went in today and it now says can’t order until 2023.

Re: New Uniform Allocation
Have a look at the order history. I recently lost an entitlement to shoes and it turned out a line manager had ordered an extra pair for someone else against my name!!

West Midlands and yarkshire first, then the south in June, the north in July, deliveries first.

Re: New Uniform Allocation
Local management (even DOM's and MCMs) don't have any say over allocations. It gets done by someone higher up than them (can't remember if it's one person for the whole UK or done regionally)

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: New Uniform Allocation
Incorrect, on delivery our shoes wear out far sooner than the allocation allows for and a Dom can request new ones, also we've got postie's who've gained/lost weight who've had replacement trousers etc.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑25 May 2021, 08:03Local management (even DOM's and MCMs) don't have any say over allocations.
