trolley madness

Post by jafferpants »

Having just had a pegusus review on the walks they come up with a wizzo idea to avoid laying on extra drivers to deal with the bag drops. They've made every walk up to 1 mile away from the do a trolley walk. So thats 2 miles tacked on your walk before you have deliverd a single letter. Apparently it's a national agreement. :left: i swear come the summer they will be going down like flies

They will have to test the rounds with the trolley plus take into account travelling time.
The walks you have at the moment will have to be made smaller since your speed will slow down with the trolleys.

Virtually 60% trolleys in my London office - many walks at least a mile away. You hve to because of the sheer volumes of the "less mail" we're getting, the number of packets plus the lack of RM drop-boxes. Sure it slows you down big-time but in our office the days of using a bike and a shoulder bag are long gone.

By the way, about 35% of the non-trolley users use private cars - but that's another story!

Add brushes to them and bid for the council street cleaning.

As the fella above says 85% trollies in my London DO too. Others all use cars. Wouldn`t do a delivery any other way tbh.Funny thing is when they first came out nobody wanted to use them, now everybody does. They do continue to get bigger though. 2 panier, 3 panier, now you have the hct with the locks, which are good as long as you dont overload them. The new electric ones are really heavy. You could kill a pedestrian with one of them!!
