van share rounds, possible 50 packets at 20kg =1000 kg . maximum in van including driver 510 kg

What happens when a walk doesn't go out and there is a parcel or five to collect. No doubt a driver will be sent out who could then get hassle off the customer as they haven't had a delivery for (insert your own number) days.

How are we supposed to know which addresses want a collection?

Are there time slots?

First I heard was on the news this morning.

yes its started, theres a prompt at the bottom of your pda each day click on it to see where they are, no time slots

Too much drama......not every packet you pick up will be those sort of weights. Why do people get carried away and go overboard with exaggeration, had one guy at our office saying what happens if I turn up and someone’s posting a washing machine. I mean WTF!!!!! Christmas is going to be f***ing crazy. Not only will vans be full going out the DO they will be full heading back in.

With covid who in their right mind go to a post office now?? Licensing done online and now postage at the doorstep!! .

Covid christmas would be hectic without this with it, the good managers will work out a plan the others will cause mayhem. Anyway lets see how it pans out, long term if it helps secure jobs then great.

HCT walks won't be doing collections they said, it will be van drivers they said.. yeah right. Several HCT walks had collections come up on the pda this morning. Manager said it is what it is, deal with it parcels should only be small!!! So I collect my parcel,fortunately towards the end of my route, it was the size of a bed pillow, only weighed a couple of kg but filled up most of the trolley. We asked manager what happens if the collections are at the start of the walk when the trolley is already rammed full, his response do it on the way back then. Errr I've already walked 12+ miles and I'm now expected to go out of my way for collections and told no overtime of we go over. :(

you have a poor manager, remember get everything in writing!
