You see glenno, you didn't actually read it properly, it does say "the aim is", you know when you first get up in the morning and rushing a bit in the loo, well that's the sort of thing they're talking about, what they mean to say is the intention is there but hey who cares if the aim is met or net.

DVB my aim is prettygood these days generally get in the pan
what pisses me off more than most is people saying one thing
and come up with crap the next
why say something when u cant or wont talk about it?????????????????????? :wave :wave

They can't talk about it because they are still meeting with RM and the statement obviously isn't ready - still remember how this was going to be the deal of the century and five months later ........................... well it makes you wonder if the withdrawn documents haven't been withdrawn quite so far!

ok BD when r u due for WSM...becase its on us right now!!! we are first in our area to go
fully Wsm by end of July,, 11 D/OS????????????????
i THINK YOU ARE MUCH LATER M8Y :wave :wave

Havent time to check now , but the wording of the agreement as far as I can remember does not suggest the workshops are for the Sequenced mail revision. Im expecting one by the end of the summer as planning on the non WS revision will need to start then to be ready for early Jan implemnetation.

Last October RML told me that October 2011 was when my area would get WS mail, but the delivery manager thinks it might not be untill 2012 for us now. All we do know for sure is our WS mail will come from the MC rather than a neighbouring D.O with a CCS.

Just back from three days of meetings.

First and foremost there will be a joint statement coming out early new week explaining all the issues.

The Divisional reps were taken through the delivery revision workshop which every rep and dom will get presented with. It is very comphensive and covers the following in detail and has full cwu involvement.

1. Peagsus APlus on line which deals with address points, hazards etc.
2. Peagsus mapping verification which will scope address points , street furniture and terrain.
3. Peagsus road network maintenance which deals with delivery point access
4. Peagsus ( geo route ) optimise delivery routes
5. System readiness tool
6 The Delivery span indicator which ensures that the span is correct and does not need to alter when you have walk sequencing
7. The indoor workload tool which will align indoor sorting and preparation to workload.
8 Batch plan tool which will gropup the contents of delivery routes to enable walk sequencing
9 Duty modeling tool which is designed to produce an intregrated duty set matching attendances and hours to workload.

It also goes through the delivery 6 step process and other aspects. It is possibly the most detailed revison process in the history of Royal Mail and every DOM and Unit rep will get the workshop and on -going support.

A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes which will hopefully reach a conclusion early next week. The aim is for the door to door into workload agreed guidelines to be agreed on Monday and there will be an LTB going out explaining a number of issues.

So when is the D2D going into workload?...Has a date been fixed and is it the 7th June?
And have the prep times altered since the "withdrawn documents"?
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

The menu of options should also be agreed next week and sent out. The outstanding issues have now been resolved. To avoid other problems in the future both sides have agreed that the only relvant documents will have both the Royal Mail and CWU logos on the documents.

The DPT is not agreed and is not included in the words of the agreement.

You have to get a bit worried when the following terms are used "to follow", "detailed", "joint statement explaining all the issues" and best of all "early next week" :whistle in the wind

The delivery span idicator is what delivery span you can actually do within your office. It is based on the delivery methods and it is based on when your second 40% of mail arrives in your office under walk sequencing.

The reality is that it will stop any office moving to a lenthy span when in reality when that office has its sequenced revision it cannot continue with that delivery span. So there is no point having a 4 .30 delivery span in year 1 when you dont recieve your second 40% of work to 10 in the morning and therefore you cannot mantain a 4.30 delviery span under walk sequencing.

So if i understand this, if you are fortunate to be a F/T employee who is one of the majority who will start at or before 7am, then you
will get a longer del, if you are on the minority then you will only have a 4hr span.

What will happen if you are in a unit with not enough VR volunteers, you can only have so many dels, after all, if georoute spits out
duties that are more than 4 hrs, will this change.

There will be either alot of hybrid duties then (BuyDowns are seemingly a no go) or alot more VR's surely
