it would not be a big shock to find two different measurements used either
Now ya's getting silly.
and i keep hearing about London 4 day weeks, so can you tell me what these duties consist of?
It's not a london thing it was in the p&M deal, the NATIONAL one!
OK, you've answered two of my comments thanks, now again,a 4 day , 10hr duty that is going to be put back in, in
a LONDON office, what does the duty consist of?
I belive a 4 hour delivery and MR is longer than 40 mins. IPS and prep takes up the rest of the time. #

Dont know what measurements you are using but in our office a F/T eight hour person spends on average
1.45 on ips, so to fill a 10hr day working back if u performed 2 hrs ips & 2 hrs prep 1 hr M/R - leaving A
5 HR SPAN. Our office is currently running at about 100 BSI on indoor if you work in an office where you have
3.5hr del spans & quiet a few F/T duties, chances are you are inefficient on indoor, increasing to 10hr
duties only increases inefficency unless you have larger spans, build in W/S savings & the inefficiency just
keeps growing on indoor

Thanks dbvk explains alot about two of its most fervent supporters
Pathetic cheapshot
The truth is never cheap lovejoy, you of all people should recognise that!
It is a cheapshot. It would be like one of CWUs negotiators saying to you 'when was the last time you negotiated a national agreement against this backdrop' The when you said you hadn't the negotiator saying 'well you've never done it so you don't know what you are talking about so your opinion means nothing'
Cheapshot
Come again ,methinks you may want to alter that post if you review the crap that some folks have been pushing on here for the last six months. I've got no objection to patronising bullshit ,but inconsistent patronising bullshit is sub standard

Our F/T are based on 1.50IPS..1.30prep..40mins M/R...15mintravel..3.30del..15mintravel/pouching off.
Thats 3.20mins indoor work and TBH we are struggling to fill it.Now that we have WSM RM want 20mins of that back.
If we went to a 4 day week and tried to hold the delivery span at even 4hrs we would need to find at least another 2hrs of indoor work.
Not feckin likely without making another 20 F/T staff P/T.

Thank you - that is what i have been trying to say all along - People keep banging on about the mystical 4 day week in
the vain hope they can convince some about the 1 in 4 Saturdays they will be getting. If this was going to be so easily
solved why would they not of already communicated these great ENABLERS?, because they know that to be feasible the only
way they will happen is through absorbtion either greater spans M-F for a 4 day week, or walk collapsing on a SAT - great
on top of later starts
