What's the problem, we are paid by the hour not by how many parcels we deliver (not yet anyway).
Just write the 739 out and move on with your day

We previously had P6721 cards which were like half-sized stripped-down P739s for simply notifying someone which neighbour you left their stuff with. I also recall LATs having little yellow cards just to let the address know their T24 item would be out again on core delivery the following day (before automatic redelivery and before the Network Review shunted basically all T24 onto core).
They all got merged into the last P739 design to avoid having different bits of paper to carry around, although that leads back to the original problem: confused people coming into the CSP looking for their item and handing over a mostly blank card.

Because trying to write out a 739 in the pouring rain with an RM pen which won't write is a pain in the arse, particularly if the customers already received an email telling them the same information.
