The union waved it through, no doubt about it. If it was such a stumbling block, the BRTG agreement would never have been ratified and endorsed by the membership.
On the subject of semantics — I use the term “old-timer” not as a pejorative reference to someone’s age or their being older than me, but I use it instead of the term “senior”. A 66-year-old gent who is among our cohort of new starters is thus not an old-timer.
Changing the goalposts I see. Nothing semantic about it. Just facts. Move on.

Can anyone else hear a disgruntled ex member of staff screaming “Let me in!” somewhere amongst the background din?

Bringing up a poster’s kids to make some kind of desperate point. Shameful.

If you don’t like being called out for your nasty, aggressive posts, perhaps think before submitting them. You come across as a desperately bitter person.CarryingMGMT wrote: ↑19 Mar 2024, 21:21You are such a creep. Re: Aldi minimum wage £12.40 p.h
Our job is fast disappearing down the gutter as we transition towards a parcel company. Whilst other couriers are offering less pay is there actually less stress involved because they are only delivering parcels? We have actually recruited even more managers at our office with the primary goal to put pressure on staff to deliver at least two days worth of mail, D2Ds as well as the mountain of parcels everyday and extra collections, postboxes and anything else they can throw at us for their own bonuses?
Our office is wholly run on favours. If you can clear that round we will give you ....... If you can work your day off we will make sure that you are on ....... This whole company is rotten from the top down. For me, it's the later finishes and whilst its not that bad now, there is just no certainty in the company. Who is going to want to be out delivering excess mail at 5pm?

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

There is something extremely disturbing about loubarlow and smoothbacks posts on these forums. You both seem like a couple of online bullies. Literally posting abuse within one minute of each other. Laughable really

If you can’t take it don’t dish it out. Calling people creepy or bringing up their kids as an insult isn’t nasty or bullying of course.CarryingMGMT wrote: ↑20 Mar 2024, 06:05There is something extremely disturbing about loubarlow and smoothbacks posts on these forums. And we probably post on here at similar times as we get up to attend work. As posties. Unlike you who it seems makes his living on an internet forum dedicated to a job he wasn’t good enough at to keep.
Do you go to bed thinking about us? That is more creepy tbh.

Another reported topic, another locked topic. Really guys!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
