I doubt my office hit its target for last week.

Why have you got such a big chip on your shoulder?
No chip. I just respond in kind. I get it, you don’t like it, but there is an easy answer to that. You still haven’t answered my question - why hang about contributing nothing on a forum for a job you don’t do any more?

On topic again (unlike some in here) - when do we get the extra payments for hitting these targets? I’m guessing after the regular bonus payments for Christmas?

Just ask your manager. We have a print out that announces the results each week.

Although RM have stated that this particular bonus remains the same for managers and OPGs you wouldn't think so with the amount of effort our managers were making this week. A few of them have been coming in early trying to solve the issues regarding mail backlog and clearing the office of non-tracked parcels. Maybe they are under pressure from their bosses but an additional incentive always helps to grease the wheels....
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

I don’t care what my manager makes. If I wanted his or her job I would apply for it.

While it seems to have gone a bit quiet, there is good news...

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

We failed by having a large enough number of our parcels and mail sent to the wrong DO. That hasn't gone down to well.

What are the national figures? I can see the sad face but can’t see the actual results.

What's with the exclamation marks before and after?

We don't have enough staff.
The request for more temps was refused.
We don't have any non ops managers.
Christmastreewearefuckedchristmastree.

I am budgeting on getting double the square root of f**k all from the incentive scheme.

Meanwhile back at the trough:

International Distributions Services plc ("IDS" or the "Company") announces that on 28 November 2023, Directors / Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility (PDMRs) received share awards under the IDS Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) (previously known as the Royal Mail LTIP)
The Company announced the grant of these conditional shares to Mark Amsden and Mick Jeavons on 27 November 2020. That announcement noted that the shares would vest after three years if and to the extent the Company performed in accordance with the performance criteria in the IDS LTIP 2020.

The IDS LTIP 2020 is referenced at page 126 of the Company's 2022-23 Annual Report and Financial Statements. Following achievement of performance conditions for the Company over the course of the last three years, Mark Amsden and Mick Jeavons received the requisite number of shares, net after payment of applicable taxes. Whilst the shares do not have a holding period, Mark and Mick are expected to retain any share-based awards until they hold shares equivalent to 100% and 200% of base salary respectively.

Same in my office. We was doing ok until last week and then the wheels fell off and we won’t recover now.

Not enough people on night sorting and not enough packet relief driver. One walk in an affluent area is getting 5 York’s of bulk packets everyday. My walk on a council estate is getting 2 i am now been asked daily by customers where are their parcels and we haven’t even got to December yet.
