Thanks for taking the time to comment, i never realised i could only use this scheme to cycle to and from work, all these years i've been breaking the rulesclashcityrocker wrote: ↑28 Jul 2021, 15:58I think the limit at the start was £500.
This is a bike for commuting to work not for competing in the Tour de France.
I bought a Carrera Subway - cost abut £300 with helmet and paniers. It had 2 wheels, a chain some pedals and some gears.
It did the job.

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
What rules have you been breaking?
Why be such a prick?
The scheme with its incentives is designed to allow you to buy a bike to commute to and from work.
Nowhere does it say you can't use it for recreational purposes as well.
However you want the incentives to buy a bike whose primary use is recreational.(because nobody really needs a £1000+ bike to cycle to work)
That isn't what the scheme is for.

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
The bike I use cost me nothing, I found it in a park, handed it in to the cops and after a couple of months got a call to say I could collect it. I didn't even know that was still a thing.
It was a brand new quality bike so why nobody reported it stolen/lost is beyond me.
One man's loss etc..

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
People who want to cycle, but perhaps it's just that bit too far or requires intense energy going uphill... an e-bike would be ideal. Not many of those knocking about especially when most places don't accept the Halfords version of Cycle2Work scheme.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 14:18What rules have you been breaking?

I also emailed recently and they've no intention of increasing the limit

You can pay the extra cost on top of what the scheme offers

I can’t see it anywhere at all. Looking on the people app and mybundle+. When I search for it it only shows a blog post talking about the cycle to work scheme.
Any help is appreciated

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
i think you will see once you will be eligible, i do not think its available to colleagues with less than 6 months service? I assume. there must be some requirement. not just joined and get cycle scheme eligibilty ... etcJamie_1300 wrote: ↑29 Jan 2023, 21:22I can’t see it anywhere at all. Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
I've been at Parcelforce for 18 months now.
Tried to find this in the app a while back but couldn't and I've just tried again.
It's not there under my benefits... Maybe they've stopped it?

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
could be a grey area that as technically you're hiring the bike so would be interested to know what happens at the end of the scheme when you've contributed towards capital cost.Rael, the IAK wrote: ↑12 Aug 2022, 00:33You can pay the extra cost on top of what the scheme offers

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
I just checked this thro my bundle and it said if I’m not eligible because a bike would take me below minimum wage, wtf?

Re: Cycle 2 work scheme
Limit now increased to a whopping… £1500.
I don’t know if this was always the case but the notes in the comms that any unused amount of the voucher still has to be paid for. So potentially even if you don’t use it. Didn’t realise that
