It doesn't delete the software however it will lose any data that it hasn't yet sent. If it loses the data then you may as well have not scanned the lost items and as far as the system is concerned you haven't scanned them.
There is a restart - hold down the power key and select shutdown or restart.

That'll only be the case if it can't connect to the network otherwise it sends the data as you scan
Do you have a 'submit' button after every scan when on 'MC mode'? No idea, just wondering if they have different ways of operating when in different work environments. There is no indication while on deliveries that the items are sent, until the submit button is clicked. It then indicates 'pending 1' in the corner (or maybe 99+, depending on how your signal has been that day!)

No submit button at all, they just send the data to the cabinet where the PDAs charge up as we scan then the data gets sent off to wherever it goes
