Im actually a fully skilled engineer from air conditioning trade,and have alot of paperwork/qualifications to go with it and yes jobs are few and far between atm. People ask would i go back into it when the work starts to pick back up?? The money was great but the staying away from home was hard especially with a young family so one of the reasons i joined RM was because of the hours. I could do a fulltime job,so could my missus, pay the mortgage etc and i could be back in time to pick the kids up from school. Thats the real benefit for working for RM. Now though there is'nt, they want a 7 til god knows o clock and for a pay cut!!! I worked in engineering for 11 yrs eversince leaving school and yes it was hard graft at times but being a postman/women now is pysically/mentally draining therefore you should be paid a decent pay for the work you do, not what you know. When working on building sites if the weather was bad then we was called off and still got paid, RM we are out in all conditions as people rely on us so we should be paid a very decent wage cause the money we are on now is'nt that great esp in todays climate, you can go and pack boxes in warehouses for that amount even more in some places, you dont have to be qualified/educated to do that eh? Keep the early mornings,pay us a decent wage, stop Doms bullying and harrasing,pay us on what we deliver of D2d's or considerbly higher the supplement and we will listen
