But what will you have to do for it? is it a price worth paying for is this deal leading us all down the slippery slope to the bottom money is not the be all and end all for if it was we would all prostitute ourselves on the black market of capitalism for £20 and sixty pence!.Big Daz wrote:Without door to door I get gross pay of £280, take out my Shift money and add on the supplement and i will have £296 gross and will be doing my doors to dustbins rather than letting my floater do them all. Sounds naff, but hey lets have some faith that basic pay increase will make it all worthwhile

Remember, d2d will be into workload which means if you are doing them and you go over your time, you will be getting paid the hourly rate. Is that not a plus?

Re: £20.60 D2D supplement!!
That hole in that argument is that we all get paid the same basic pay in my office, and in yours, but every person delivers a different number of items every day. Some walks are easier than others, some are in urban areas with blocks of flats, some are in leafy villages. Since when did we all do exactly the same amount of work ? Why are some duties the 'prized' duty in my office ?robd wrote:i could end up doing 5,but the guy on the next frame only has 1,yet it seems we will both be paid the same
If I had 5 d2ds and the bloke next to me only has 1, it seems to me I have two choices:
work to my finish time, then cut off and let the DIM deal with the rest or
claim overtime for the excess, and thus end up being indirectly paid more for doing more

IT GETS WORSE £20.60 includes £12 .37 pay protection paymentfishtank wrote:feduppostie wrote:will this figure be in addition to the £12 odd early shift supplement?
I think that needs clarifying alone
This might clarify a bit but you won't like it.
The Truth wrote
"On the early shift allowance, well there is £ 28 million being paid out in these allowances, this figure is down on the 2007 figure and will continue to reduce as no one in the future who either joins Royal Mail or who is in Royal Mail who decides to do that shift will recieve it. So everyone who leaves who is in reciept of that money then that money simply goes to the employer. The unions decision to put that money into a supplement not only protects that money but also allows for that to be increased in line with future rises. I saw the fishtanks comment that a motion said it should go into basic pay. Well you cant do it as not everyone in deliveries recieves it or in mail centres so if you put it into basic pay you would have individuals on different pay right across Royal Mail."
Sorry Daz no basic pay.

Somewhere on here it was said to £19 and also £30 both of which was said to be untrue. So till I see it in black and white dont believe £20.60 either.
