I PM'd practically everyone in this thread with a request for information on the best way to tackle doing walks I had no experience of, while at the same time trying to get as much experience of a DO as possible. All the replies were very useful, so thank you very much. Only the postwoman from Wales, whose husband also works with her, sent the reply, "Why are you asking me?".

Why did the EC go into great detail to explain the many reasons WHY!
We should support the strike action, but now they have got an agreement (ha ha)

Being a cynic i'd say they will be sending out tons of comms based around the date that the ballot papers come out. There will also be a 'reasons to vote YES' document in with the ballot paper!
I'd say they are leaving it late so it gives people campaigning for NO to answer the points they will make. Guess we will see
