Re: Pet Hates Of Being A Part Timer....
Also I feel it's important to add that being a full-timer doesn't necessarily solve all problems...
When you start at 6am, it still comes down to what walk you're doing, because they are all massively unbalanced, even after these useless revisions.
We have some walks that take FIVE HOURS to deliver, so imagine what's the prepping is like and going out at 11:30 to start your delivery.
On the other hand, there are 2.30 hour walks that barely get any letters/packets and you could be out by 9am.
In my eyes Royal Mail is a TOTAL mess, and no wonder they are losing millions every year. One word - MISMANAGEMENT.

Thanks for amending it . As to McLovin's comments, although in bad taste and in my opinion purile, technically because they were general comments and not aimed at individuals they were not against the rules, unwelcome yes, against the rules No.halfull wrote:i will amend it if i have broken your rules but i hope this same thing applies to mclovin's comments on this thread or something is wrong here if he can post saying partimers want their arse wiped.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:halfull if you can explain why your post above dopes not break the rules then amend it.

Divide and Rule - it's the future whether we like it or not - and I'm not just talking RM - today's fixture list includes:
Public Sector vs Private Sector
Employed (and scared of losing) vs Unemployed (intentional & unintentional)
Full-Time Workers vs Part-Time/Temporary Workers
Pensioners vs "The Young"
and that old perennial that keeps resurfacing ...
"British Born" vs "The Rest"
Just the way Government and Management want it ...
(note the bankers/financier XI got a walk-over)

i think we can all agree that part-timers are all desperately hard done to,salt of the earth types, who are worked like slaves and rewarded with a pittance! I hope we can also agree that all full-timers are the most selfish lazy scum of the earth work shirkers that ever wasted the planets supply of oxegen, especially the >20 year boys who should be stripped, shackled, and lashed with a whip in front of the whole office!

Re: Pet Hates Of Being A Part Timer....
you might be joking but this comment is correct besides the bit at the end. if fulltimers had to move around like us & do our jobs for a month on our pay & see how they have it now they would quit very quickly. 90% of fulltimers dont give a s**t about nobody except themselves.bunkerland wrote:i think we can all agree that part-timers are all desperately hard done to,salt of the earth types, who are worked like slaves and rewarded with a pittance! Re: Pet Hates Of Being A Part Timer....
90% seems quite high! Might i ask how you arrived at such a figure? Is there some sort of mathematical formula for working it out,or is it the result of some sort of painstaking research you've conducted? I'm guessing your figure for part-timers is somewhat lower, pro rata perhaps? Does that mean if a part-timer goes full time they"ve got a 90% chance of turning into a s**t then,or do you have another formula for that?halfull wrote:90% of fulltimers dont give a s**t about nobody except themselves.bunkerland wrote:i think we can all agree that part-timers are all desperately hard done to,salt of the earth types, who are worked like slaves and rewarded with a pittance! Re: Pet Hates Of Being A Part Timer....
Royal Mail management reading this must love the 'us and them' attitude being displayed. As long as we're at each other's throats they don't need to worry too much about the workforce uniting against them. Personally, I was part-time for over 3 years before I got a full-time contract but now I'm able to come in, spend 2-3 hours sorting the I.P.S and prepping a part-timer's duty. Then I get to wave good bye to the part-timer as he leaves the office while I'm still throwing off my letters. Sometimes, if I'm lucky, I'm on my flats.
