Or get another job. :whistle

Plenty people have worked their nuts off to make this company profitable, only to be s**t on by management f***ing around with the hours. What about a f***ing service mate?

The hours are not unsocial , you are right, buts its not what the MAJORITY want or businesses or the public. The CWU recognise change is coming because they all f***ing work 9-5 with s**t loads of perks. Your comment of like it or lump it with the whistleing smiley is an insult to the workers who have kept this company afloat and kept YOU in a job. :mfo :cfo
I think you want to lie down in a darkened room, mate. I've kept myself in a job, thanks, without any help from anybody else.
I've also given 25 years of hard work to RM , and they would happily pay me off tomorrow. I don't see the point you're trying to make. I don't agree with the changes but they are coming, "like it or lump it". Get real, look at the crap hours other people have to work. As far as "insult to the workers who have kept this company afloat", don't make me laugh, I do the job properly and always have done, unlike a large number who don't give a fcuk about anybody else and cut every corner to get finished early. If you don't like the CWU then get out. You sound like some left-wing lunatic from the seventies.

I was talking about the majority. We all have the odd idiot who lies and cuts corners, I agree, but I just didn t like your like it or lump it quote. But just take note, if you post comments like yours expect a backlash from the people who don t want their hours changed once a year without consultation. The probelm with the CWU is that they are not fighting hard enough to stop the vast amount of changes. Two years ago they asked for a yes vote on pay and modernisation. What did we get? A pay freeze after record profits and no modernisation. Croziers version of modernisation is to try and get everyone part time and working later hours. Its not what we all signed up to do. And Im not bothered about other peoples crap hours, Im bothered about ours. If they can keep changing things willy nilly then god help the company. As for a left wing lunatic nothing could be further from the truth, I just don t want to work for a company thats simply lies to its workers. Nothing left wing in that comrade. :d'oh!

I don't agree with the changes either and I voted against the last agreement which has got us to where we are now. But the priority must be to keep full-time jobs, end the executive action and stop the bullying and harassment which is prevalent. I'm lucky enough to have a full-time job (for now), but if the start times change, I'll have to put up with it, to keep a roof over my head. I don't see the point in carping on about changes when thousands of other people are losing their jobs. I'm fed up of idiots everyday saying what a crap job it is, who don't have the skills or intelligence to find themselves another job. I've done other jobs and this ones OK but its not getting any better. I think the management of RM are a disgrace, as are the present government who are happy to take a back seat whilst this dispute rumbles on and affects many households and small businesses. At the end of the day, the members are the union and we all have a vote and a voice, its a pity that too many members can't see further than their own self interest, and are willing to bought over for paltry lump sum. Not to mention the thousands who can't be arsed voting, because its nothing to do with them, but are happy to take all the benefits, the CWU negotiate for them.

I look at the threads on here daily, and if it was possible, i reckon the vast majority of folk would take the money and run if they could, i have some sympathy wi the poster who has given you a verbal volley -greynut , you, like me, are the people hes talking about, the long service lads, who have seen the business go steadily downhill for years.

Underneath all my hatred and dislike of any chunt in a suit, and all those fuds who you never see from one year to the next(the area fookers), im sad that i have to tell folk lies on a daily basis when out on delivery, as all i want to do is my job, unhinderd, not followed, or spied on if i want to get round that wee bit quicker.
All it does is build up anger, get confrontational, and ends up with suspended posties, like in my office.

God knows whats coming next :arrrghhh
Agreed Shimmy, we ALL feel the same way, but I don't get upset about it anymore because if Managers getting paid much more than I do, don't give a fcuk, then why should I ?

8-4 would be OK for me but then I have no life outside RM (RMC excluded) and my kids are big enough to walk home from school but it would need to be properly thought out ie. it IS only 8-4 and not 8-whatever time you finish the mail and you all know that'll never happen with the numpties we have in charge at the moment.

May be thats why theres a 2 yr time scale on it but ive also been told the change will be down to the automation machines ,Sounds to me that once these automated machines are running perfectly there going to invest in a lot more.

Whatever the times, lets get it negotiated with the CWU and not imposed by executive action, thats what this fight is all about. If we lose this one, say goodbye to any influence the union will have. :pray
