Order’s came through yesterday to our MC, utilize and despatch white correx containers to all D.O’s
No sign of us using them for MC->DO runs to either not every MC was ordered to do so or our MC was ordered to do so and management are ignoring the order from above

The SOP for SD’s has required all SD’s to be transported in Green Sleeves for some years. So that’s not going to happen anytime soon.
Red sleeves have been used for MC->MC runs for a good few years now. We're not allowed to use green sleeves for any MC->MC runs
You’ll get your orders today. Things are moving “at pace”

Some local DO’s had told the drivers not to bring the white correx from the MC but now the drivers are under orders to take them.

7.5ton drivers are refusing to collect nested white correx containers for repat. (i dont expect that to last more than a few more days either)

MC->MC dispatches of SD sleeves will soon have to use green sleeves, will there be enough? Currently red sleeves get used.
What planet are you on? The number of green sleeves available to use is tiny, they've probably been hoarded by some offices. There's never been anywhere near enough of them. SDs in open topped reds are a regular feature in Network
The green sleeves are a waste of time anyway, they're no more secure than a bog standard red sleeve

Won't be long until somebody gets hit in the eye from the other end of the shovel being used at the time.

Can't see us using the shovels. The tipping areas for our belts backs immediately onto a well used walkway

Doesn't say if it's a DO or MC but either way that mess is purely down to someone opening up the whole sleeve at once instead of emptying it 1/3 at a time.

Not necessarily. I had the same thing happen to me recently. I pulled down the top flap without realising it was the only part of the sleeve that still had the velcro stickers attached and as a result the weight of the contents made the whole sleeve open and the contents fall all over the floor.

Considering these have only been in use a relatively short time it’s quite shocking that the majority of them we receive seem to be damaged in some way.

We also get quite a few filled with mainly bigger packets where the entire front is missing and the contents are just secured with the straps.

Are they just open at the bottom? Don't small packets like the one on the left go right through the circular holes in the base?
The machine stops.

That's how it's meant to be with these for large packets. It'll be the same for trays (manual letters, mech letters and flats) eventually

If royal mail REALLY cared about health and safety, they wouldn't have those York's be able to be filled right to the bottom , instead have a raised floor, with it only be able to be filled from about a quarter of the way up.

Can they not use the other style of yorks that are like the white ones, they have a see through part and you can have a lower bottom or raise it ?

Not sure what they are called, but we sometimes get around hand full of them every night, i might be wrong in thinking they are from gatwick.

They are called MK4s and seem to have become very scarce lately a bit like the Red Sleeves but not as much as the Green Sleeves or Cardboard which are maybe 1 a night if that.
