Busy day for packets. Mail wasn't too heavy. Got soaked.

Heavy showers.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

^^ You have my sympathies. Would hate to be a postie oop north. Completely different job South and East.
Occasional showers, but otherwise warm here in the East Midlands. After two farcically light days, one of the heaviest for ages - water bills, virgin, screwfix. Plus waiting for bags due to one of the DO slowcoaches being on our van run today. First bag drop at 1050 for a pre-revision run. Should be fun tomorrow

About the same as yesterday. Not the heaviest of days, but plenty of packets. We are being slowed down on the IPS due to all the changes and nobody really knowing whats what. Really bad thunder storm. Terrible lightning, and I got soaked.... again.

Heavy yesterday, light-ish today. Walk I'm on this week is 350 houses, I've got it into three bags (without forcing the issue) most days. The frame has also been set up for the bike which is great for me. The only time I carry a pouch on the whole walk is for a little fiddly bit where I have to padlock the bike up and take a light bag around the back of some houses.
Very enjoyable.
Very enjoyable.

Bombed out. Packets everywhere again. Did a cull on a neighbouring walk, so a later finish today than usual. At least it was dry today.

I've just dried out. A tad wet today
I staged a Roger Moore impersonator festival in my local village. There were a lot of eyebrows raised, I can tell you.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Quite a light day again. Had a fair few recordeds, but apart from that, packets weren't bad, nor was the mail. I think it depends on the area in our office - we've got a town, a rural section, then a kind of suburban second town section. The town section is light as frak most of the time, but the other two have terrors, and the rurals tend not to have a light day ... ever.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Easier than yesterday, and not nearly as bad as Fridays usually are. Even the packets were slightly down today. The real problem lies with the fact that the walks are now longer, and the introduction of the HCTs has slowed the whole delivery process right down. Wondering what will happen next. If things don't change before autumn then it could be very interesting.
On the plus side it was another bright sunny day without rain. Off out tonight donw the legh. Long weekend off so I shall be out on Sunday for a last night with an old work mate who flies back to Thailand very soon.
