We've had two light days in a row (except on packets). Tomorrow has the potential to be manic, especially as I suspect they'll throw everything at us in the hope of being clear before an equally manic Saturday. Oh well, what do I care?Postman Plodd wrote:popped into work on my day off, guessed that it was a light day as everyone was out of the office before 9 am. Hammered with post tomorrow is my guess too.

That was a long day. Only one D2D to finish off fortunately but two Yorks of packets plus 24 SDs. Never mind, golf tomorrow!
I staged a Roger Moore impersonator festival in my local village. There were a lot of eyebrows raised, I can tell you.

In truth it all depends on your age and your fitness level before you joined the job
Plenty of tips on here but i ve always believed the most important thing to look after is your feet because if they blister its a real nightmare. So a spare pair of socks is good and a supply of blister plasters.
Good luck mate

Well i knew that wed's was going to be a real pig by the fact they had extra sorters on OT on tue afternoon.
Heavy on flats (due to extra sorting) and loads (1 and 1/2 packet bags) of annoying little jiffy packets which were just a little to big to get through the letter boxes. Also 11 rec and 3 reg so it was one of those "bitty" days where you just could not get going without having to knock on a door.
Took about 4hr 30 min and i finished about 2pm but did stop for half an hour for a break
Nice weather though, bright but not too warm.
Off till tue's

I wish sky, virgin and Farm store cut down door to door shite. If we want Sky/Virgin, we would have it by now as they have been round for decades. And Farm Store I never ever been to the shop in my life time. I am sticking to local market and butcher, bakery, tesco, coop, asda, sainsburys, waitrose and morrisions for food shopping.
