I think Royal Mail will be 'destroyed' no matter what future action (if any) the CWU takes. The service is being eroded slowly but surely. The public are not getting a service anymore. Royal Mail and the powers that be are pulling the strings from far higher than you could imagine. 5 years left maybe? I don't know how long we and the public have Royal Mail for but one thing, we're being steered towards that big fat privatisation cliff for sure. Pensions? I dare not think that far ahead anymore.mailsort6 wrote:Yes! I would strike again, but I do think that any more strikes we have will definiately destory RM, (e.g. the last two 48 hours crippled RM), therefore, I think that Billy and Dave will do anything to avoid a strike and I do think that RM will offer the posties a better pension deal because they cannot risk anymore strike.

So you reckon we have a job for at least 5 years? shud we not just let them pay us off now? they pay a lot of ones of now that are on the sick, is it worth it? when you think that we may not have a job in 5 years mayb it is worth it after all!

no point is there. its the same everytime we show how willing we are to see it through but the union leaders screw us over and sell us out.. it happens ever single time.. £2.80 they take from everyone of us every week.. for what.. so they can live the high life on our backs and bloody hard work.. we need a change we need a union with some BALLS

But until then, we might as well bend over and spread our cheeks for all that RM want to give us - is that correct? Because that is the perception I am getting. Never say "no point" - that subtracts the morale of any grass roots waverers & union officials considering IA might reject considering our most potent weapon if they think most of us will say "What's the point?".........during the last IA a lot of military analogies were used ( battlelines drawn, foot soldiers on the pickets, etc ), well, here's another one for you, to say strike action has "no point", is to give comfort to the enemy.kwikpost wrote:severe222 wrote:if the union asked you to?

Re: WOULD YOU STRIKE AGAIN?
but how many times have we striked.. only to see the union sell us out.. look at all they have given away over the last 10 years how many can claim their working life is better now then 10 years ago. not everone sees the royal mail as a long term job now so why would they want to strike over something that is 20. 30 .or even 40 years down the road and will change anyway in that time frame.smokerjim wrote:But until then, we might as well bend over and spread our cheeks for all that RM want to give us - is that correct?
