and ALL Tracked items
It’s not ALL Tracked items
It's ALL parcels bigger than a shoe box and smaller Tracked. That covers all Tracked. Please do try and keep up :cuppa

So tracked letters would be included?

It isn’t all tracked, they proposed idea was poorly worded
Tracked letters are included. There's no such thing as Tracked letters, anything like a letter that's Tracked gets treated as a small Tracked item

“No such thing as a tracked letter”

Call it what you wish but a letter that’s tracked is a tracked letter. You can call a dog a cat but it’s still a dog.

If a Tracked item is smaller than approx a shoebox size it's small Tracked otherwise it's a large Tracked. There's no other sizes for either MC-MC runs or MC-DO runs

It's no different from how PF or any courier firms operate, they each have a central hub through which all items go through

they don't have the staff we have. PF has about 5000 staff so won't have anywhere near the amount of offices we have.

The new parcel strategy is for all items above the size of a shoebox as well as ALL Tracked items to be delivered via existing and new duties via the current network of LAT hubs. We don't know all the details but it does appear to herald the beginning of a two tier workforce.
The views I express here are mine alone and do not represent the views of Royal Mail Group.

I suspect that those who deliver the parcels may not necessarily be employees of Royal Mail as we know it.

But if they used self employed couriers, then the extra vans wouldn’t be an issue. That’s the way the industry has gone. Do you think Royalmail might be considering it also, but in increments.

Your still going to need floats to cover the days the duty holders are off.
My office only has 4 full timers and the rest are made up of part time reserves.
