I used to work for Domino's and probably the majority of customers used coupons off D2Ds. Then again you didn't actually need to use the coupon, just say you had one because drivers never bothered asking for them.

Also, if you have 3+ D2Ds and have to prep them separately, what happens if you do that before sorting the mail if you have double slots? It would take an extra hour of prep having to separate them all if they're a similar size, and it'd be just as awkward if you did the D2Ds after the mail if they're all loose.

For us it's B&Q (big thick booklet), then Farmfoods (pissy thin leaflet), then a local info booklet (quite thick again) and all the other rubbish inbetween. No pizza vouchers though :(

We do D2D's in collumns, which are defined by the size of the frame (how many columns) and the days D2D workload is stuck to the frame, so any person going to the frame knows which sections need to be prepped. The D2D's are the first mail prepped in to empty frame. Simply take leaflet 1 then leaflet 2 then leaflet 3 etc then place them in the frame. For double slots, it would be a case of 1,2,3,1,2,3 then in to the frame. Then simply place all mail for the first address to the left of the D2D's and all mail for the second address to the right, using the items of D2D as a seperator.

I honestly don't mean this to sound disrespectful, but it really is not rocket science!

I think you mean at least an hour?
Like emptying a box adds at least 40 minutes and scanning a barcode adds at least 30 minutes?
And tying one's shoelaces?
Never let the hand you hold, hold you down.

Are you on van sharing?,because if we were to do them in columns the loop's don't tie in and it would mean 1 day the driver doing a lot more than the walker and vicky verky the next day.

Yes I have that, one day I have all 4 rows the next day my partner has all 4
We knocked the vertical rows on the head and did horizontal rows instead

We do it that way and thats just how it goes, it's no big deal to have a few d2ds when your partner doesn't, doesn't take all that much longer to go to a few extra houses. It's only a bugger when you get one of the lovely rare quiet days

If your partner has d2d and you don't take a few extra doors of them or do a couple of their packets.
Why do we try to make the job sound so difficult?

It's wonderful reading about all these people who do it this way and that way. Some poor folk ( :wave ) have no say in the matter. If the person who preps their frame wants to put all the door to doors in on a monday he damn well will. If he wants to put six leaflets in one double slot in a totally random order, then ram in letters at the front, back and middle of them he can and will. And you better check in every page and crease of every leaflet or booklet as he will sneak in the tiniest letter, and it will be for the house next door.

Yes you can take out just where you are going and leave in where you aren't, but some people ( :wave ) have partners who are incapable of pulling out some slots and leaving others in, they just yank out big handfuls, sometimes even splitting one address between bundles.

To nest or not to nest isn't one of my priorities..
