Re: The Mail FA Cup 2011
Ive got an idea, how about we just get on and do ours jobs? We certainly have enough time outside of work to fulfill all those sports weve just fantasised about. I, for one, get home 3 o clock full of energy still and not peed off in the slightest. I feel so lucky to be part of this new system, being shouted at for not completing and expected to work till 5 o clock to deliver all the mail. So come on, lets pull together and make this work. "Lets crack on" as someone used to say, i forget who it was but i also remember him giving us some valuable shares. Does royal mails generosity know no boundaries?

It's not a good idea. Quite frankly I am disappointed.bradleypostie wrote:Ive got an idea, how about we just get on and do ours jobs?

Only when we play buddy mail cricket.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

I'm beginning to think you lot have been out in the sun too much
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Do i sense that Bradders is getting a bit pissed off here
Clash has come up with two brilliant alternatives, in buddy cricket and mech snooker, and seems to have put a lot of thought into it.
I for one say let him run with them .....

Re: The Mail FA Cup 2011
Yes im still upset at the demise of the mail fa cup and clash n co seem to think a bit of buddy cricket and mech snooker will replace this. Its like buying a kid a new dog once his old favourite dog has died. Yes granted, the new dog will be loved but not like the old one. I cant just forget old faithful mail fa cup. Ive got feelings you know. THe best way i can move on is by throwing myself into my work and completing my delivery, even when my partner wants to be dropped off at the office at 3pm, i will go back out and complete the round. I even wear my royal mail uniform out on a saturday nite im so proud of the company. I dont pull very often tho, in fact i dont pull. Im baffled to say the least.

Re: The Mail FA Cup 2011
The Mail FA Cup was the original idea and was the best idea.
It belonged to a bygone age when customers mattered.
The buddy tray cricket and mech snooker are just number crunching exercises completely in line with RM current policy.
I too wear my uniform on days off etc but this is just so I can travel free on the bus.Even that might be coming to an end I see.
I've found it is easier to pull these days if you say you know who Postman is. Girls always seem very interested.

yep i agree clash. the days of mail fa cup are now of a bygone era of moral boosting days at work. 'The world has changed, i can feel it in the water' was the quote from the opening line of the lord of the rings. sauron now has his eye on all of us eh.
