umpteen door to door? :left:

I didnt realise the cap was the only thing stopping RM becoming the prefered delivery partner for 99% of the unaddressed leaflet market. :d'oh!

Yep, I can really see a massive exodus away from magazines, newspapers and TNT.

Yes we will see a increase no doubt, but nothing spectacular!!!!!!!!!!

It's not ,the market is price critical. Now have a think about which service supplier will be in a position to slash prices and still make fat profits

That's a very definite statement ,what do you base it on? Are you in a position to guarantee this? I hope you are right but you must admit that business logic dictates that RM will chase as much Custom as possible.
I think these words may come back to haunt our confused flip floppy green brother

Big Daz I have to disagree i do belive there will be a huge increase in D2D But I think this is a good thing as it will protect full time jobs. I also except that there will be a lot of managers putting the pressure on to get people to compleate, it is hear that we need to be strong and make sure people are protected, and that others dont cut the job up.

The news is they are still clearing away the glasses, the pie cases, the pizza boxes and the debris from the big whoppers - no wait a minute we got those in the 90 page agreement the fallout hasn't landed yet.

D2D seems to have become the main topic.

Big Daz, do you really think that RM will turn away work in postcode areas that have already got 6 D2D.
the figures that are being banded about by those looking for a yes vote don't seem to add up.
Lovejoy and Dingo both say that the average is 2.1 well that would show that (as we don't deliver 0.1 of anything that is not in a plastic bag with an apology on it) the majority of deliveries in the UK get 3 D2D per week. also if you take into account the large D2D that get the higher rate 3.5p but get 2 week delivery span then the number of deliveries in the uk getting more than two 1.67p D2D increases again, Add on the number of firms deliveries etc. who do not deliver D2D then it would seem that the vast majority would get 3 a week. As most deliveries get more than the 250 calls that acording to the CWU's own information and presentation you need to break even, then almost everyone on a delivery whether walking, cycle shared vehicle or rural would lose money if they accepted this deal and had NO increase in D2D at all. How much would they be out of pocket if RM bringing the extra D2D that they know they can get or they would not have asked for the cap to be lifted.

TELL THOSE IN HQ TO GO OUT ON A WALK FOR A WEEK......................

No I dont and have never suggested they would, RML expect their DTD to be 6 a week within the next 3 years. Some places might get more some less. That is their growth projection. What the growth projection is after the next 3 years I have no idea.

At this moment in time growth of DTD is educated guess, just have to wait and see if the contracts come rolling in.
