Well I can see this going one of two possible ways. He gives in to union demands knowing he doesn't have to worry about his future contract or he decides to really screw things up for the workers to satisfy his sadistic nature, also knowing he doesnt have to worry about his future contract.

I can't really celebrate the news until I know which dictator is going to fill his boots. Odds are it can't be anyone worse but it's still a possibility :hmmmm
Union what Union? Do we have a union?

Hopefully this may be the start of a number of management leaving or should I say being given the boot, in my opinion this was always going to happen after he couldn't crush us, or get the public on his side.

I hope that which ever party gets in at the election, look at what has happened with the industrial relations, and listen to MP's, CWU and us, they need to get us on their side, because if my office is what I assume many others are like, ie no-one doing OT now (Apart from the chosen few), all good will used up, and people actually looking to stand up for themselves, and looking to protect others, then we can probabley look forward to more strike days.

I assume the talks will be extended now, untill people have an idea on which way RM will be pushed from those on high.

In my opinion I don't think anyone that close to leaving would have any impact on or input into the negotiations.
It does explain his often mentioned low profile during the dispute. :hmmmm
I don't think they will recruit from within, any out of work bankers around. Step forward Sir Fred "the Shred "goodwin. :nervous

Perhaps old Stellios could do it... low cost budget deliveries. Basically we just dump a sack of mail off at the end of each road! :dance

So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Wrong airline mate, i'd prefer the Ryanair bloke, dump the sack of mail at the end of each road and "make them pay for it" :dance :left:

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Hear, hear. :Applause

The fact a useless tosser like Crozier can flit from one very highly paid job to another, is a pointer towards understanding why this country is in the state it is.
I wouldn't give that w****r a job flipping burgers at McDonalds.
