What start and finish times do the shift allowances kick in? I assume it must be down to a specific minute of the day/night.
It's probably in the downloads section somewhere.
How long you say you've been a Mail centre OPG again? How on earth would you not know this simple piece of info even though you keep banging on about later starts for Delivery constantly?

If you'd used your brain you'd know that things like shift allowances are always based on being between specific times. It works the same at any company that has shift work.
If you want to know the actual times, stop being bone idle and search the downloads section.
If there's going to be less lorries going to DOs I think it'll be the earlier runs that get axed, as that would make RM the most savings, less shift allowances to pay out

No it won’t.
But if that was the case then it would also mean mail centres would have to start later.
No need for MCs to start later. More of the 2C would be moved to nights, with less agency on lates. They axed our later 2C run a while back, so leaving it all for earlies to do is not an option.
There's the upcoming MC realignments, so we'll all have to wait and see if it's got a network review tied into it, which would affect arrival times into inward MCs
Those 2 in 5 sound garbage , why are people choosing that ?
They aren't, they're being imposed to make longer days so that you have longer delivery time.
So basically running our aging workforce into the ground /retirement so they can replace them with a young athlete who likes to carry a 30kg (ex parcelforce) parcel up 10 flights of stairs rather than use a lift?

2-5 isn’t really a longer day though. The maximum duty length of it is shorter than our current longest day.
It’s just that every day is that long instead of long and shorts which makes it even more ridiculous that anyone would “choose” it

2 in 5 is the best option IMO if I've understood it right....
Those 2 Saturdays off are also part of a 4 day week - right?, so you get a 4 day week twice in every 5 week period, but our working day only gets made slightly longer to give us those extra days off.
A 4 day week every week would make the days far too long especially for those on the 40 hour contracts.

No, only 1 4 day week, you get Fri, sat every 5 weeks.

You’ve got it wrong.
Only one 4 day week and you do a 4 day week followed by a 5.
