F*ck me how many times! is this a wind up?

The original £300 was in addition to the £200 at Christmas.

The £300 no longer exists unless it's in the new agreement, which you'd expect as RM know full well a sweetener will get people voting for a deal.

Apparently the new lump sum is £600 each plus the £200, all paid Christmas week, tax free and we all get a tin of quality street as well. And a toblerone.

What! We only get one Toblerone!
And is that a FULL tin of Quality Street?

OK if the Manager makes you up Temporary Full Time (as they used to do in the past) but that hasn't happened over the last couple of years around here. :no no

It's one of those massive toblerones you get from the airports that cost about 20 quid, the catch is you have to carry it around the walk before you can take it home :chuckle

And of course it's a full tin, minus the purple ones that the dom has taken out.

Get your rep onto it. The Employee Change Requests (ECRs) for making PT staff up to FT over Christmas are available now so there's nothing stopping your manager putting you through for it. Just make sure they also put through the second ECR to bring you back to part-time so you don't get stuck paying back an overpayment in the New Year.

The actual additional cost to RM is just the remainder of the Christmas Bonus and a couple of weeks of slightly higher pension contributions. Why would any sensible person want to mess their staff about for such a trifling amount?

PT staff in our Mail Centre still get made up to FT over Christmas so why should any other office be different? Although the CWU Christmas Arrangements document for this year - http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 15&t=56418 - doesn't cover this issue at all, it's an issue which the union should be pursuing
