We actually get a ballot? Don't think this is happening in our office. Everythings been stitched up already. :hmmmm

Pretty normal (boring) day :neutral: Delivery 3.45 hr plus 30 min of a not so nice piece of absorbtion then back 20 min before my time :neutral:

Getting out the 15 min early because of no missorts helps ease the rush :neutral:

Thats about all i can say as iam bit tired today.

Oh its was nice and sunny after a frosty fresh start. :cool

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Heavy day. Meeting about the revision, lapsing, finished late and booked. Not stopped all day, even had to get to the docs for a flu jab. Knackered. :crazy: Off now for a couple of days so I'm out tonight AND tomorrow night. :nana

Put on walk never done before

told it would be fully thrown out for me to take out at 9.00

had a feeling it would not be so got to d.o. early at 8.15 (and suprise suprise it was nothing was thrown out)

So once i had thrown it out. I was ready to leave at 10.30

then get told round is usually a bike round, so went to get a bike, all gone! :mad , went back to get a manager, told to walk up to delivery!!!! wtf!!!

so i had a discussion with management, most of it fell on deaf ears.


First letter 11.10
Last Letter 15.00

Not a bad round once i got out , just the usual s**t in the d.o. before you actually can get out ... (I bet a few of you have exprienced this before!!) :hmmmm
working for Royal Mail, is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.......

Yep thats correct they cancelled it about a month ago, i dont know why :hmmmm

In theory its great as you can get out earlier but in practice it just means less bodies per absorbtion so the only winners are RM themselves. Guess ive ans my own question :d'oh!

Today had a bit of a nasty edge about it. I'm not usually a get in early guy but the buses have changed for one day only due to roadworks or summat, so I had a choice between being 40 minutes early or 20 minutes late. Chose the former and took it easy. Still didn't get out till quarter to 10! Loads of Sky mags turning up on a heavy day, we've got to get them all done by the end of the week. Heard a whisper that some of them turned up yesterday but my rota man doesn't seem to have done any. I only took half of them 'cause Saturday is usually lighter, but I was pissed about it. Finished on my time, so I've lost my sen 40 minutes on today. Yay :neutral: :sad:.

Not the worst day, but I'm feeling the worse for wear after a pretty heavy week. One of my knees feels a bit crafty. I hope it's nothing more than a twinge. I'm concerned though . . . :sad:

Stretch it out with a warm hot water bottle buddy. Also maybe some anti inflame tablets as well :hmmmm

Remember the acronym RICE

Rest
Ice ( pack - such as a bag of frozen veg, but don't put ice directly onto skin, it can cause a burn )
Compression
Elevation

Hot & cold is a good idea as well ( ice pack for 2 mins, followed immediately by hot water bottle for 2 mins, and alternate like that for 15 - 20 mins )
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Mail delivery; those that can, do, those that can't, MANAGE!

Will try that out, thanks for the tips krussel and jim. It looks and feels better now, it's probably just a knock. Problem is we never get two days off in a row so no recovery time. It would be just fine after a weekend, a long bath, and some lazy time in front of the TV watching football.
