Got into work and did my IPS and started prepping my walk around 8am. Lino comes round telling us we should be doing roughly 80% of the Scums.
Told him I'll gladly clear my mail, my packets, my large packets and any specials. If I need to extend, which is always the case when I do clear it, then I'll gladly extend while it's a nice sunny day. If however you want me to deliver one copy of that f*cking rag I'm working to my time and me and my P&L partner will be leaving in a near full walk. And we'll likely do the same tomorrow unless there's nothing on.
Only 50%? I thought it was meant to be 80% on the first day? Or are they talking about the overall figure for all posties? We did about 90% today.. mainly because of all the bloody mail that came in.
How convenient to have a load of mail come in today, about twice the amount we normally have on a Thurs and also nearly every bloody door too!
Was told to do 50% in our office so I did no more or no less.
All that fuss, my p&l got 100% done today (1200 drops) without rushing or coming in early. Our dim thinks we did 50%, we are not based in a delivery office so we have no contact with management but he rang us to ask how many we had done

On our P&L we cover about 14-1500 houses.. we ran over and booked excess and only got about 80-90% done.. due to mail for nearly every sodding door! Not a light day for us as we had piles of packets/Tracked/SF's/SD's to deliver

We was surprised how light it was on letters/flats, decent amount of packets still. Pretty sure they have held some mail back, even though they tell us they don't
Well mine arrived today and good job too,I needed something to put at the bottom of the rabbit hutch,so now a s*** publication has now been s*** upon by our family rabbit.
There's still time yet. I only just got in from clearing up our office's cut-offs, so last letter on our patch was just before 4pm. Office finally clear of the cursed things... until next time, anyway!!
Bad planning from managers caused the main issues in out office. Didn't plan for the things till Wednesday when they asked for people to come in at midnight to prep frames snd take out extra d2d's!!!. Were meant to be 8 off us but only 4 turned up but did get it done, i was off Thursday so didn't see how it went but my rest day cover said they completed on time. We finished 45mins early today so they didn't slow us down at all.
