I have not gone through properly but there are some of their famous headlines in there, There is also Henry VIII and Churchill and many other prominent English people including Kelly Brooks, Michelle Keegan, Mark Wright and Joey Essex.

It is a joke of a paper! And this edition is just so cliched - its unreal. It is even worse than the last special edition of the News of the World because it is just about England and Englishness and nothing about the other World Cup groups (I do not think)...

Well, it can always be recycled or totally ignored.

*PS, they so much miss their Page 3 girls that they had to include Kelly Brooks in a bikini - sad!

Unbelievable!

Got back to the office over an hour after our time (agreed to work overtime today) and there were people prepping these in their own time! :arrrghhh

A quick scout of the office and I counted 18 partially or full frames already - looks like they'll have time to do their lapsed tomorrow because I'm not.

Yep, all went to plan, folded them yesterday (Tuesday) after early finish, finished at 13:00 today got back to office 13:15 and spent 1/2 hour throwing them in. Still went home early, piece of p!ss.
Will do every call on my round and only those with mail on partners on Thurs, then he'll number the remainder Friday.

Had to laugh as when I came back there was a lino and manager with black hands, and I mean black as they had to fold and throw-off all the lapsed jobs between them... :nana :nana
Black Hand gang will he get his walking boots on tomorrow and do the cut offs! :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

Yes, that's what we were going to do, only because we had a dolly round and it was light we couldn't due to early finishing. I am quite glad we have prepped and thrown them in RM's time but on the other hand worried as this will endorse their daft decision to accept such a massive door-dustbin contract on a nominated day(s) basis.

I heard it was £300k for a full page advert. I am not worried how much RM got paid, more the better. I am just concerned they have made us complete the contract in just 2 days.

The question of not completing is becoming less relevant as it appears that they have withheld some of the mailsorts (if not all) and the managers and phg are helping some prep the items; and the papers will actually go in the where they are single address slots... And the D2Ds have been cleared and No Lapsing.

The job will get done and it appears that it can be done - under certain circumstances...

I predict RM will suffer some blowback from this - they better spend the money wisely. There is no doubt that we are now a proper Private Company - the gloves will be off from competitors, Regulators, EU and the government*

* I see that George Osborne is one of the political figures endorsing this special copy - more dosh for the Treasury and their shareholder friends and board members...
