Re: Bullying and harassment in delivery offices
I was bullied out of my job. I reported it, followed procedures and guess what it was me at fault. The management got together and blamed me… Also fellow colleagues disappeared when I said enough is enough. These were colleges that witnessed the abuse. My advice is leave the business… this will never change.

How we getting on?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Magnificently.
Bullying is still rampantly rife but we can at least proudly say that it's still rampantly rife under the banner of Pathway To Change.
Sooner or later, a beat dog bites.

This thread should be called Bullying and mobbing please read this link https://www.who.int/occupational_health ... /pwh4e.pdf
We need a serious long lasting constructive campaign led by the CWU none of the mickey mouse schemes currently in place as they dont work .
If they did we still wouldnt be here talking about this issue.
Managers need to held responsible or the business does as the bullying and harassment is institutionalised .
You read the article above and tell me i am wrong.
This is as much a problem for the CWU as it is for Royal Mail as our union are not doing enough to protect us.
Ok we can take the business to court and 95% of the time the CWU win ,but this can not be the norm its great we win but really it only becomes great when change comes about from it.

Re: Bullying and harassment in delivery offices
It's seriously astounding that the managers who have never done the actual delivery work themselves even dare to tell people what is possible. I was told that I should be able to do both walks today because someone took my oversize. Me and the person working with me have been there a total of 4 months between us and it was the third time that I have ever done this walk, and we were only ready to leave at 11am. What am I supposed to do when they try to belittle you and make you feel like it's your fault? I work hard at this job and deeply resent the managers acting as if I just can't be bothered or something.

Re: Bullying and harassment in delivery offices
Talk, talk, jap, jap thats all we do about this issue.
The union and Royal Mail can not address this problem so why cant we.
I say we as in this site there are enough high ranking union officals on this site and many, many intelligent people who can add there support.
What is stopping us from launching a meaningful, recognised campaign .If i knew how I would do it but its far from my expertise.
What ever campaigns are running by the CWU and Royal Mail are clearly redundant.
Come on boys the time for japing is over or do we keep turning a blind eye as turning a blind eye is shame full.
Those at the top of the tree seriously think about it this has gone on long enough and has to stop, and i truly believe we can do it.
An emu springs to mind so lets pull our heads out the sand or do we keep japing.
I say Stop The Rot !!!!!!!

The bullying and harrassment of colleagues, especially the weaker ones, happens on an almost daily basis in my office.

As you've highlighted it Harry, what is everyone (who are collectively the Union) doing about it?DirtyHarry wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022, 06:20The bullying and harrassment of colleagues, especially the weaker ones, happens on an almost daily basis in my office.

Nothing that can put a stop to it entirely.yellowbelly wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022, 09:31As you've highlighted it Harry, what is everyone (who are collectively the Union) doing about it?DirtyHarry wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022, 06:20The bullying and harrassment of colleagues, especially the weaker ones, happens on an almost daily basis in my office.
Individually, if you know just how far a manager can legally go, and you're a strong character, you can tell the manager to fob off. I advise the weaker individuals, but they seldom, if ever, follow my advice.

Re: Bullying and harassment in delivery offices
And there you have it Managers see the victims as weak i put most of the blame on them they do nothing about it and get no repercussions for doing nothing. Said it before this is an easy stress free job that some workers and managers make into a horrible stressful environment, if i was the CEO or area managers id want to know why so many people are off with stress my first port of call the managers of the offices.DirtyHarry wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022, 06:20The bullying and harrassment of colleagues, especially the weaker ones, happens on an almost daily basis in my office.
