Fed up with part time hours and pro rata pay, whilst another worker who is full time finishes anything up to two hours before me. Feel like the turd in the office whilst everyone else swap and change and do what ever they want to. God i wish they bought in clocking machines.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
WELL... had to get up early to take my friend to the train station so he could make his journey home to the US.
Then I had to go to a local D.O. to pick the mail up for our office as their van had broken down. Drove to work with said mail.
Had to deal with a CLEO complaint from a customer who is just out to cause trouble for one of our posties. Told RMCS that the customer was basically lieing and that they should call the Police if they claim it's true. Told Postie to go to Police and put in claim of harassment against customer...
Had DOUBLE the amount of mail in today than we did yesterday (Thanks Co Op!) and it absolutely PIDDLED down ALLLLLLLLLL morning (and afternoon).
Got another round on O/T and so I went out to do my bit of that. Then ended up doing my own parcels so my colleague didn't pop a blood vessel with the amount of work he was doing today. The van I was using to do the parcels has developed a fault with the drivers door (in that it won't open from the outside!!) so I had to keep climbing over the passenger side after I'd got out to deliver a parcel. Still raining too.
Whilst doing the bit of O/T, came to one house where the garden was flooded. They've got weed matting stuff down as there's no proper paving there at the moment. It was at that point I discovered that weed matting floats. Good job my shoes were already full of water isn't it?!
I got home 10 hours and 15 minutes after leaving this morning. I'm pooped.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
A bit of a crappy day really getting wound up in the heat.
Quite a lot of mech and an average day flat wise but loads of packets.
Then came absorption which I went and did my honest 15 min prep but only a couple of others bothered. So it was no where near ready by the time i had to go out on the walk. Got back about 1pm (no managers) only to find the lazy mothers who did not help long gone and finished (one as early as 11.50am
). Picked up my section (the last bit left) and went out and did it, got back 13.40pm hot and cheesed off.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
One of the heaviest days I've ever had due to 10 letter thick magazines!
Hot weather didn't help, I bought myself a can of Boost energy drink with the last of my change that nearly made me sick after it had settled.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Didn't think it was too bad today; I have family friendly hours on Saturday, so I only do 5hrs - just my delivery with no prep. My round was all ready to tie up and go when I arrived at 0750, so was out by 0830 and finished by 1120. Nothing to take back, so texted the locker to confirm my specials were all delivered. Back home by 1135!

Thank god the clouds held till about 10.30am before they begain to really break up. We all got out earlier and the misssorts were in quicker as well. I was out by 8am and back by 11.40 so missed the worse of it.
Still plenty humid though and my shirt was sticking to me
I had 13 things to sign for and it was like raising the dead till about 10.30am as no smegger was getting up.
Hoping its going to cool down next week as this heat aint much better than working in the snow (well a bit) as i feel totally knacked out.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Day from hell on Friday. Busy day. Off the IPS just as breaktime arrived at 08.30. Got down from break and finished throwing off my walk. Went out with the lapsing first, about 10.20 and got back about 35 minutes later. Loaded up my first bag for my walk and got there about 11.05. Worked non stop untill 15.30. Absolutely shattered at the end. Very hot and humid. Booked an hour.
Saturday, got off the IPS late (8.30) Got out at 09.15 and finished just before 12.45. Booked 30 minutes. Another hot and humid day.
