Just as in 2007 you hav sold us down the river & bottled it.
Why did we even bother going on strike & having al these hardships,only to go & give Royal Fail exactly what they want,(a hassle free xmas).
Leighton & co must be absolutley weeing themselves with laughter, god help the workers in the New Year.
I am totally disgusted with the union & am cancelling my subs immediately.

But hypothetically. If your a real Luddite and have no access to a computer or mobile 'phone and have had no time or interest in watching the news on the t.v tonight and have no idea that the strike is off- what would the repercussions of not going in tomorrow incur ?

You still think that your 'Officially' on strike, but your actually back on the clock, so shouldn't be losing a days pay. So what's the Royal Mail's stance here? Can they suspend you for going AWOL, despite you still thinking your strike and have made plans elsewhere? Can they come round and demand you go into work or you'll be suspended? Should your CWU rep or DOM be ringing round the houses tonight to inform people the strike is off ? Or is that an invasion of privacy whilst your at home relaxing in 'your own time' ?

So many questions so many answers.

Can't say i care less, these strikes have been pointless and a complete pain in the arse for walkers.

1 Day out for a complete ****er of a week.

Monday = 5 tubs of letters, rest of the week 3-4. And flat/packet wise each day was like a bad fridays worth. And stuff was coming here there and everywhere, even the sky mags came to us un-walksorted. Speaking of which i still have 2 tubs worth under my frame not to mention my D2D's which have not been opened. And no doubt management will now try and get me to take them tomorow as apparently this week isn't "strike affected" anymore

Next time if you're gonna strike CWU, take us out for a week and actually do some damage, these girly fart strikes have done nothing

Cwu given away our strongest position ( no strikes before xmas ), for what in return?

Never said anything about running out or cancelling my membership,I would rather pull my toenails out with rusty pliers and pour vinegar on the toe's than bend the f***ing knee to those c***s in Royal mail,and we will still need good union men and women in the time ahead.So stay in the union,united we stand,we WILL win.

I've only just caught up with this news.
So am I right they've called this off for more talks, talks which Royal Mail said will take two months which is the Christmas period gone have the Union learnt nothing about this management THEY CAN NOT BE TRUSTED .
